How to Wear a Beanie

January 4, 2016

How to wear a beanie may seem like a really simple question, right? Just plonk it on your head and you’re good to go. However if you don't want to look like a gnome, or Frodo from Lord of the Rings, you might want to check out these style tips.

If you own a basic fitted beanie the easiest way to wear it is over your forehead and on a downward angle to the back of your head. Cover your ears and leave your hair out.

Black teamed with black gives a chic, slightly goth look that says "out of my way!"

White is soft, cuddly, feminine and very wintry.

Pompoms can be a real feature, but make sure they are part of the beanie and not just a random add-on.  This big, soft pompom integrates beautifully with the overall look here.

Knitted evokes handcraft, my-mother-made-this.  Loveable, toasty warm and stylish too. Worn with shades of grey and black this beanie coordinates beautifully.

The too-cool-for-school look sees the beanie worn low over the eyes and neck.

Teamed with a grey wool coat, this beanie shows that this versatile hat can equally be dressed up, as well as down.
